Golf Course Superintendent

Delaware Country Club, Muncie Indiana
Duties:
This position will be responsible for the planning, management, and supervision pertaining to all aspects of the turf grass operation and maintenance at a 18 hole private golf facility. The position will have management and professional authority and accountability for maintaining optimal course playability conditions throughout the year. Individual will have the following responsibilities; Day to day supervision and management of all course turf grass and maintenance work; Executing an annual maintenance and course improvement plan; Providing on-going communications to club management on issues, actions, and recommendations; Developing and achieving an annual operating expense budget; Providing input to the annual capital improvement budget; Direct supervision of 5 full time employees with an additional 6 seasonal employees, including hiring, training, and on-going motivation. Works closely with Club Manager and Golf Pro, reports to Green Committee. Oversees the management of a $400,000 maintenance budget.

Salary / Wages:
Salary range $50,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience

Dues and educational expenses will be paid for local association and national education (travel to GCSAA show).
Job Requirements:
Degree in turf science and Midwest experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience as a head golf course superintendent or a minimum of 4 years as an assistant at a similar club preferred.
